03 Feb Road trip #3: Rafting in Neretva
Whenever you see articles with title “Road trip” you can expect stories from our trips around our homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We use every free moment to explore our country, visiting famous tourist destinations and those known only to the locals. We are always looking for interesting places to visit and we would like to hear it from you, send us information about your hometown or place you discovered!
This was our first time rafting and Neretva was a great host. Our journey started from Glavatićevo and it was wonderful experience. Neretva is fast and unpredictable river that gives you chills. This river is clean and drinkable on her entire follow on this rafting trip. On the places where is calm you can just stop and enjoy the nature of Neretva canyon.
Near our rafting camp is a village Džajići, old vibrant village with houses made of stone and gardens filled with flowers. Near the village there is abandoned Stećak necropolis. But if you follow the road it will take you to the unknown waterfall Crni vir. Locals say you can swim in it during summer, but it was still cold and we just took a walk around it and climbed.
